Services at our Reception/Front Office

Our front office staff are here to assist guests. Should you have any special requirements, require tourist information or advice on things to do and see, please do not hesitate to request such. A large wall-mounted map of the area and free take-away maps in the reception are great travel planning tools, freely available onsite. If you would like to book any particular activities in the area, other than those onsite at Misty Mountain, our front office staff will gladly oblige. And before you leave, remember to purchase some branded merchandise to remind you of your trip to Misty Mountain.

Restaurant & Deck

Not only can you savour great food, but you can do so with a stunning view! Our restaurant deck is perfectly positioned around an infinity pool, giving guests the never-ending view of the escarpment and down into the Lowveld. The inside alternative provides a congenial restaurant environment, good vibes and log fires.

We specialise in popular, country cooking and our dishes are all freshly prepared to order. We have an extensive a la carte menu, including a children’s menu and a wide and varied wine list.

Breakfast is served from 07:30 to 10:00 on weekdays and 08:00 to 10:30 on weekends and public holidays. During the festive season, our restaurant will be open for lunch until 14:30 on all weekdays.

For tour groups, corporate groups and functions, we also offer set menus, buffets, barbeques and themed dinners. These menus are available on request.

Guest Lounge & Cocktail Bar

If you are looking for a place to relax, read or enjoy a cocktail, you will find this all right here. Our guest lounge offers a stunning view, and a comfortable spot to delve into your book or snuggle up next to the fireplace on a cool evening. Our cocktail bar offers a selection of drinks and is an informal place to watch television or chat to your travel companions.

Swimming Pools

Guests have a choice of two swimming pools - one infinity pool on the restaurant deck, and another more private, family-friendly pool next door to the main hotel building. A reminder that parents are responsible for young children in and around the swimming pool areas.

Gardens

Take a stroll through our extensive gardens where manicured lawns lead into natural and indigenous veld. Look out for banks of colourful azaleas and foxgloves in the springtime and purple hydrangeas around Christmas time. Follow the water course of the mountain streams, via a series of dams and weirs and find some secret walkways and paths. For a rest, find some gentle shade and seating places in groves of old trees.

Conferences & Functions

Our large conference/function venue can accommodate up to 100 people. This versatile venue is suitable for formal and informal functions, celebrations, conferences, corporate gatherings, events, speaker evenings and product launches.

Games

The outdoor playground has a jungle gym for youngsters and an outdoor chess set. At the indoor games room, guests can challenge themselves to a game of table tennis or pool.
